At our marine science center in Tybee Island, we offer year-round programs for visitors of all ages. Whether you’d like to get out to the beach, the marsh, or the water, we have a science program for you! Check out all of our walks, talks and treks below.

Join Allie Hayser, shorebird biologist for Manomet’s Georgia Bight Shorebird Conservation Initiative, to learn about the remarkable shorebirds and seabirds that share our beaches.

Following the presentation, we explore the beach to observe our feathery neighbors in their natural environment. Scopes and binoculars are provided to share in our observations.


Saving Sea Turtles: Preventing Extinction Documentary

This independent documentary tells the natural history story of the world’s rarest sea turtle, the Kemp’s Ridley and how humans pushed a healthy population to the precipice of extinction and are now slowly helping it to recover.
