About Us

Volunteer and Internship Opportunities

Volunteer and Internship positions are available for adults and juniors. Training is provided by the Science Center staff and experienced volunteers. Opportunities are open to assist on the beach, in the marsh, and at the Center.

TIMSC is seeking the following enthusiastic, dependable volunteers:

Hospitality Docent to greet our visitors with a smile and to perform exit interviews, providing TIMSC with valuable visitor feedback.

Touch Tank and Aquarium Docent to enhance our visitor’s experience and to protect our animals.

Junior Volunteers to assist with Sea Camp in the summer.  Please visit our Sea Camp page to learn more.

Sea Turtle Volunteers to assist with Dawn Patrol, Evening Turtle Talks, Nest Sitting, and educational campaigns through out the year. Please visit our Sea Turtle page to learn more.

For groups and organizations interested in one-time volunteering opportunities, the TIMSC staff can assist you with a beach clean-up. We provide garbage bags and recycling bins, as well as data sheets to record information on the trash collected. These sheets provide TIMSC and other interested groups with information on what type and how much garbage is collected.

Volunteers and Interns must complete a Volunteer Application. Please contact Sarah Barlow (sbarlow@tybeemsc.org) for more information.
